Why arent torrents downloading

 · The downloads just stay at %0 and when using clients I never went above 2 kb/s. If this is all the work of comcast they are doing one hell of a good job, but please help. I'm am not asking why this is happening but an explanation of why would be appreciated if you can also solve the problem.  · There alot of factors that are not account for when using torrent 1. Seeds doesn't mean they are bltadwin.ru like a listing of peers 2. Not all internet bandwidth are created equal yours might be fast but theirs might be slow aka dialup speeds. 3. So ISP throttles torrent file sharing if detect their is torrent on their networks. 4. How can I fix the problem of torrent downloading when my phone is just downloading torrent file and not starting the main download? If you don’t experience any issues with network connectivity, then it’s probably due to low available Seeders.

Answer (1 of 6): Torrent is a peer to peer network. For a specific torrent to work there must be some peers to make it work(seeding). If specific file is showing 0. None of the current P2P technologies are illegal per definition, but we have to block P2P protocols on certain servers, either due to strategic (this is traffic that unnecessary slows down other user's traffic) or due to legal reasons in countries where we are forced by providers to block torrent traffic, among them USA, Russia, Singapore, Australia and Hongkong (China). Torrenting is a file-sharing option that a lot of people default to. When people torrent, they usually pick one of these sites: The Pirate Bay - Best overall torrent site; RARBG - Great torrent site with an active community; X - Awesome torrent site for movies, tv-series, and music; Torrentz2 - The best choice for music torrents; YTS - Our recommended torrent website to download.

Currently I have two torrents from separate trackers that are on 0B of OB status. I am using transmission. On one torrent at last announce it says "got 50 peers" the other "got 48 peers." port is listed as open. I have changed the ownership of the download folder to debian-transmission. Any ideas? I'm fresh out of troubleshooting steps. 1. If there are 0 seeders, you cant download the torrent, as there is no one sharing the file. 2. Even if there are little amount of seeders and the no. of leechers are considerably high () ratio, then your download speed will be negligible and in some cases, your download wont start and it seems like your not able to download the torrent. 3. If you’re new to BitTorrent and this is one of your first attempts, your downloads might be blocked by a Firewall. How to Fix: You’ll need to Whitelist your torrent client or manually allow your BitTorrent ports through the firewall.
